Orenda Learning offers a range of services to support education providers to build their capacity to deliver incredible service programs.
Target 4.7.1 of SDG 4; Quality Education, states that by 2030, we must ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development. Indicator 4.7.1 covers the extent to which (i) global citizenship education and (ii) education for sustainable development are mainstreamed in (a) national education policies; (b) curricula; (c) teacher education; and (d) student assessment.
We are aware it is likely that education for Sustainability and Global Citizenship is an important part of your school vision and mission and we want to support you to increase your capacity to deliver this important area of education to your stakeholders, including your students, parents and community.
Our Consulting Services

Analyse your current teaching and learning materials.
Write reports on our findings and make recommendations.
Coach your team about best practice ways to teach service and support students to take action. Model the teaching of service to support understanding. Mentor your educators. Coaching regarding the integration and embedding of Be The Change.
Assist you to build meaningful relationships with charitable organisations and your community. Help guide parent education and involvement in service programs.
Support you to develop curriculum and also teach it through the Be The Change program. Assist you to undertake high level design related to service. Support you to make links between service and other curriculum areas, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) outcomes.
Guide you around logistical and administrative processes connected to different types of service. Support you to design best practice service trips for your learners. Help you with short and long term processes and strategy related to service. Advice regarding integration and embedding of the Be The Change program.

Be The Change
In addition to advisory and coaching we offer a short Professional Development Sessions to support you to embed Be The Change, and ensure your team is ready to facilitate the program. These are 1 hour sessions which are delivered virtually and you will be provided with the slides and video after the session.

Be The Change for Teachers
Be The Change for Teachers is a 90 minute mini course we developed in partnership with Go1.
The aim of this course is to help teachers learn how to ensure that students engage in service in a fully informed manner, so their service is purposeful and mutually beneficial for all. Be The Change for Teachers takes some of the core themes from Be The Change for High Schools, delivering them in a quick and easy to access way.
